Julie & David, BFFs giving new life & beauty to old or outdated items & encouragement to those willing to try. Both live outside Rochester, NY: the home of George Eastman, Kodak, Xerox, Bausch and Lomb, Genesee Brewing Co, & garbage plates. During working hours, we can be found at ReHouse Architectural Salvage where we’ve worked for a combined total of a bunch of years.
Julie…I am a follower of Christ, a mother of 2, a sister, a daughter, & an artist living with mental illness. A native of Fairport, home of the only diagonal lift bridge in the United States, I manage the blog, feed the cat, cut & paste, refashion clothes, make pb&j, paint furniture & go to bed early. I work part time in the real world as an Online Sales & Marketing Manager for ReHouse. My mission here & in my daily life is to inspire & be inspired, specifically for women living with mental illness.
David…I’m the thinker. I have 2 grown-up daughters, 1 granddaughter, & another on the way. A native of Newark (NY), I run the workshop, take out the trash, try recipes, paint in the lines & always measure twice. My day job at ReHouse consists primarily of salvaging & preparing new inventory for the sales floor.
